The Mice Are Back
Featuring spring, flowers and several very necessary holes.
Today I walked into the garden and immediately realized something very important:
Spring is back.
Which means the garden smells amazing again, the sun is warmer, and there are suddenly about five hundred new things to sniff within the first ten steps.
First I checked the flowers. Humans seem very proud of them, so I inspected them carefully. They smell nice, but also slightly suspicious, so I sniffed each one just to be sure everything was in order.
Then I noticed something even better.
The mice are back.
I could smell them under the ground like tiny little secrets moving around the garden. Obviously, this required immediate action.
So I started digging.
One hole here. One hole there. Maybe another one just to confirm the situation. My humans were standing nearby saying things like โLuna please stop digging,โ but I think they simply donโt understand that this is very advanced mouse detection work.
Spring also makes the walks better. The grass smells stronger, the wind carries interesting news from the whole field, and every five steps I discover something that absolutely must be sniffed.
Honestly, winter was fine. But spring?
Spring has flowers.
Spring has mice.
Spring has much better digging conditions.
Which reminds meโฆ I think I smell another mouse.
Excuse me.
